Another tough ask for the Redbacks

Another tough ask for the Redbacks

17/07/2008 2:24:00 PM
After losing 13 players from last year's team, this season is all about rebuilding and the young lads who've turned up to play have given 110%. This game was no exception.

Moffit and Joel took the ball up constantly and the welcome return of Mouse meant the lineout for even better. Ben Stewart as always was everywhere. The scrum was the most dominant it's been all season with Lyons, Royds, Haggis and Coe dominating.

It was always going to be the backs who had the toughest day. The Broulee backs are the quickest in the comp and with Charlie running the show the attacks came from everywhere. Despite this the backline of Black, Coble (outstanding) Pat, Jacob, Mini, Matt and Seamus tackled themselves to a standstill. Due to injury we've been unable to field the same backline twice this season so the effort in defence n attack of the young backs is outstanding.

Thank you to our supporters, the Royal Mail Hotel, Braidwood Earthmoving, Braidwood IGA, MH Orourke Funerals. A huge thanks to Barry, Pete and Amy.

The points this week went to; 3 James Royds, 2 Jacob Kain, 1 Reece Coble. Players' Player Jacob Kain.

REDBACKS AUCTION

This Saturday 19th, there's the Christmas in July party at the Royal, with a great band, prizes for fancy dress, and also a huge auction. Rugby memorabilia includes a signed 208 Brumbies jersey, a signed 2008 Waratahs Ball, and a ball signed by rugby legend David Campese.

Come along for a top night out.
