 SHOEMARK BRAIDWOOD GOLF OPEN

SHOEMARK BRAIDWOOD GOLF OPEN

23/07/2008 4:00:00 AM
One highlight of last year's Braidwood Open was Anthony Lynch's demolition of the course. What is it about the game of golf? A 14 year old who had been playing for a short time and had never played Braidwood out scored a large field of old codgers who play the course regularly?

This year's Open is on Sunday 27 July and, for the first time there is an open junior award. Tee off times can be booked through the Braidwood Servicemen's Club on 4842 2108.

Despite rumours to the contrary this is an 18 hole event and Braidwood has had grass greens for over 40 years. Les Mundy's expertise has the course in excellent condition.

An entry fee of $20 includes the game, a BBQ, a drink voucher and a prize pool of almost $1000. Book early as numbers are limited. We hope to see another good turnout of fathers and sons and grandfathers and grandsons.
